Advice from the NuAge Experts team on how to maximize your opportunities for connection and growth at Dreamforce
Dreamforce is the event of the year. No matter your role or industry, if you use Salesforce to help run and transform your business, this is a can’t-miss experience. And after a two-year IRL hiatus, Dreamforce is back in person and at full strength, bringing people together from around the world for events, sessions, and connection.
At NuAge Experts, a ConvergeOne Company, our Salesforce team is gearing up for a week of discovery, learning, and innovation. We sat down with a few of them to get the inside scoop on what they’re looking forward to and how they plan to make the most of their experience. In our conversations, a few key themes and priorities emerged: relationships and networking, skill-building, and brand engagement and education.
It’s About People
Networking and relationship-building are par for the course for any conference. But what makes Dreamforce special is the sheer scale of the event as well as the thoughtful curation of spaces and events that make networking effortless. You can find groups by interest, industry, role, causes—you name it.
Ali Vance, our VP of Delivery, can’t wait to make new connections and get some face time with clients and partners she hasn’t seen in over two years. “I’m looking forward to telling the NuAge story and sharing what we’re all about. And on the other side, I want to hear other people’s stories too—what they’re passionate about, what they’re focused on and prioritizing. This is a time when people are so open and energized, which offers incredible opportunities for connection.”
Here’s her advice to get the most out of Dreamforce: “Be open to meeting with new people. Don’t jam pack your schedule, and be open to the things that come up. I found that I’ve gotten the most value out of just networking and meeting people, seeing what they’re all about and what their company is all about. Maybe what they’re into is something that leads to a really interesting conversation, personally or professionally. Being open to new experiences and new conversations can lead to some really cool opportunities.”
Like Trailhead, but Better
This year, Dreamforce has over 1,000 sessions! These highly curated talks range from tactical deep-dives of features and products to insightful strategic discussions and impactful stories. Attendees have the opportunity to learn directly from tech experts and business leaders who are using Salesforce to make a difference for their employees, customers, and partners.
Gina Gravina, one of our Solutions Architects, is looking forward to diving into topics that are ramping up in the ecosystem to bring back new skills to share with her clients. “Dreamforce is my opportunity to explore theoretical topics like analytics and data modeling to expand my knowledge. It’s so much more impactful to hear from experts who are helping build our technical future than to read online help articles or how-tos.”
Here’s her advice to get the most out of Dreamforce: “Attend the sessions on topics you’re interested in but don’t know much about. Dreamforce is such a fun opportunity to learn about things that you don’t normally see online or in your day-to-day work.”
Brand-Building the Salesforce Way
The Salesforce Ecosystem is one of the strongest, biggest tech ecosystems in the world. Part of what makes it so impactful is the global community supporting it. People are passionate about the products, the ethos, and the connections and experiences the platform provides. Whether you’re a customer, partner, or employee, being part of this community makes you an integral part of Salesforce’s brand, and there’s no better place to connect than Dreamforce.
Rosa Campagna, one of our Account Executives, is eagerly anticipating the brand experience. “The way Salesforce creates and curates the Dreamforce experience really makes you feel like you’re part of something bigger, like you’re part of a global community. To see the excitement on people’s faces as they navigate this Salesforce wonderland is really exciting. To continue growing, you have to invest in your knowledge, and this conference is a week-long one-stop-shop for innovation and customer experience”
Here’s her advice to get the most out of Dreamforce: “The Dreamforce campus in downtown San Francisco is huge, and sessions are first-come, first-serve, so plan accordingly. Try to group your in-person sessions in one building or area and use Salesforce+ to attend other sessions virtually. We’re all learning how to blend virtual and in-person experiences personally and professionally, and Dreamforce is the perfect place to test out how that works for yourself and really optimize your experience.”
So Many Sessions, so Little Time
We know there’s an endless list of sessions and events to attend at Dreamforce, but that gives every attendee the fantastic opportunity to craft the perfect agenda. Here’s a short list of our team’s top sessions to help give you some inspiration and direction.
